Hamburg University of Technology welcomes a total of 1,561 new students to the Schwarzenberg Campus for the winter semester 2024/25. This includes 1,106 Bachelor's students, 354 Master's students and 101 students in the orientation program. While the total number of new students has remained largely unchanged, TU Hamburg has seen a slight increase in the German-language Master's programs and remains at a consistently high level there.
In the Master's programs, a distinction is made between German- and English-language programs: TU Hamburg welcomed 222 new students to the German-language Master's programs - an increase compared to 206 in the previous year. German-language Master students are admitted in both winter and summer semester.
The most popular Bachelor's degree programs in the winter semester include “Business Engineering - Logistics and Mobility” with 219 new students, followed by “Mechanical Engineering” with 140 and “Computer Science” with 137 new students. In the Master's degree courses, “Data Science” (English-language) with 93 enrolees and “International Business Engineering” (bilingual) with 39 new students are the most popular choices.
President Andreas Timm-Giel: “As a university with an international focus, we are delighted to be so attractive for new students from Germany and all over the world again this year. In order to achieve our ambitious goals, we need the best minds and look forward to working with them to advance our mission of “Engineering to face climate change”. Welcome!”
