During the Venture Cup at the NIT Northern Institute of Technology Management students work as business consultants and show what they have learned. In the competition, students of the E-Track (Entrepreneurial Management) face tasks from real companies, this year from Cerascreen. This week the students presented their results to lecturers, representatives of CeraScreen and the entrepreneur and honorary professor Thomas J. C. Matzen. A supporter of the NIT for many years, Prof. Matzen rewarded the students with a generous cash prize.

Management knowledge in application

The Venture Cup is a business analysis project in which students can test their specialist knowledge on real-world tasks. This year, Cerascreen presented tasks for which two teams of students conduct- ed an analysis and made recommendations. They presented their results to the jury on Tuesday. At the award ceremony, Prof. Matzen praised the students for their excellent work and sound results.

The winning teams

Anastasiia Nimets, Luis Eduardo Colonnier, Daniela Arangao Ospina, Kyungjoo Park and Adithya Anila Kumary were delighted with the first prize and a total of 2,000 euros. The runners-up were Frederik Rogge, Raghavan Ashok, Taha Attabachi, Annelis Breed and Miguel Wesselmann. Prof. Matzen per- sonally handed them a check for 1,500 euros.
