Contents:

Determination of important process parameters:
1. Measuring respiratory activities (endogenious respiration, influence of waste­water concentration and inhibitor concentration).
2. Turbidity removal with flucculation and precipitation
3. Residual time distribution using tracers (fixed bed reactors).
4. Filtration (surface filtration, filter- and filer pie resistance, chemical conden­sation)

Learning Outcomes:

Knowledge: Students shall develop an understanding of sources of errors in wastewater analyses and of process analysis

Skills: Application of theory based demanding methods and techniques

Capacities: System orientated reasoning, teamwork and communication skills with/towards different expert groups.
