  • Laser-based manufacturing technologies: generation, marking, cutting, joining, surface treatment
  • Quality assurance and economical aspects of laser material processing
  • Markets and Applications of laser technology
  • Student group exercises

Learning Outcomes:

After successful completion of this course, students should be able to
  • give an overview on current laser technology,
  • classify it’s applications in today’s manufacturing processes,
  • evaluate economical and quality aspects,
  • find suitable laser systems for given tasks.
