Sociological concepts of social change

Speech, scripture and the world wide web: different communication media and social change

Globalization

 

 

Learning Outcomes:

 

Knowledge: Basic knowledge of different concepts of social change. Historical examples of change in society.

Competence of Methods: Critical assessment of laymen theories as well as of sociological literature. Improvement of presentation skills

Competence of Systems: Reflection on questions like ‘where do we stand now and where are we going’? Sociological perspective on social change.

Social Competence: Discussions. Development of social skills by team work.
